5 October Square is one of the central points of the village of Cascais.
Here is the Town Hall of the village, installed in the former Palace of the counts of the guard built in the 18th century. On the facade of the building we can emphasize the collection of tiles with various representations of Catholic Saints.
Another of the attractions that can be found in the square is the statue of Dom Pedro I, King of the legendary love story of Inês de Castro. Known as "the Punisher", it was during his reign that Cascais received the Charter.
