The Marina of the Clube Naval de Sesimbra, was a dream of many
generations, an old aspiration of the Naval Club and the village of Sesimbra. Essential equipment for the development of tourism and recreational boating, not only in the summer, as throughout the year, it should be noted that off Cape Espichel spend annually approximately 40,000 recreational craft, heading south, so if at least 5% of these vessels come to Sesimbra (some are already beginning to be regular customers), the village will know a few thousand tourists. In addition to the advantages of the tourist and economic scope
that this infrastructure have been providing, must not be forgotten jobs that have been created, directly and indirectly, which constituted a significant added value to the development of the economy and for job creation in the municipality.
The construction of the Marina of Sesimbra, began on 4 December 199 x, with the authorization of work by the administration of ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra (APSS). The first phase, budgeted at about 160 thousand short stories, told with the support of the municipality of Sesimbra and with contributions from Club members
Naval. The construction works were carried out by Ahslers Lindley Lda., a company that specializes in the construction of recreational harbours and marinas, according to the draft.
