The municipality of Covilhã, approved at the last meeting of the Executive, the decision of the local authority Services to launch recovery works in the Dam Lake viriathus. The works are budgeted at about two million euros, but the intervention will cost only ten percent municipal coffers, since the remainder is supported by Community funds.
Will be consolidated the seawall of the dam and built new mechanical means. This recovery will mean "increased availability of water for the municipality in the order of 30 percent," explains Carlos Pinto.
